Prayer: For the Imprisoned
O Compassionate Ones
May all beings past, present, and future
who have been detained or interned
be freed.
while even one is detained,
may all beings wish for their release. May the beings who ordered and carried out their detention
have their hearts opened fully to the suffering of others.
May their subsequent good deeds
cause boundless joy throughout the universe. May all places of internment and detention,
past, present, and future,
transform into gardens and fertile places
where children play and all creatures walk in beauty. O Compassionate Ones
hear this prayer.
May it be repeated endlessly
until all beings are liberated.
